What are the advantages of having my surgery done at Newport Coast Surgery Center?

Newport Coast Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art facility that utilizes the services of Southern California’s finest, most accomplished surgeons. We treat every patient with personalized care focused on comfort, convenience and successful outcomes.

What is an outpatient procedure?

Outpatient surgery is a procedure that is performed without requiring an overnight stay by the patient. It is often referred to as “same-day surgery”, since you are released from the facility typically within a few hours of your surgery.

Is surgery at your facility expensive?

Newport Coast Surgery Center is in-network with Medicare, Anthem Blue Cross PPO, Cigna PPO, Aetna PPO, and Tricare. It’s a good idea to contact your insurance company about the coverage available to you for this type of surgery. Our Scheduling and Authorizations team will work with your Rendering Provider’s office to obtain any prior authorizations required by your insurance company. If you do not have health insurance or if your insurance provider is out of network with our facility, please contact our Scheduling and Authorizations department to discuss other options that may be available to you. 

How long will my recovery take?

Your recovery will depend not only on the complexity of the surgery, but also on your general health condition. After surgery, we will discuss any activity restrictions that may be temporarily placed on you. Depending upon your line of work, you may also need to take some time off from your job.

How is my privacy protected?

We follow the strictest HIPAA policies and guidelines. In addition, we have initiated additional protocols to safeguard your information and personal privacy.

Can I drive myself to and from the facility for my procedure?

You must have a driver to take you home because of the sedation medication (general anesthesia and/or local) you will be receiving during your procedure. 

Can I wear jewelry or body piercings for my procedure?

No, the metal in jewelry may burn the skin if electrocautery is used during your procedure. It is good and safe practice to remove have jewelry removed prior to surgery. 

I received a statement from my procedure, can I pay online?

Absolutely! Please go to our Payments tab to make a payment.
