Patient Resources

We prioritize patient education at Newport Coast Surgery Center, as it is essential for achieving optimal health outcomes. When patients are well-informed about their conditions, treatment options, insurance coverage and self-care practices, they can make better decisions and actively participate in their care.

INSURANCE COVERAGE

Patient education on medical insurance coverage is crucial for ensuring access to necessary healthcare services without unexpected financial burdens. Understanding your insurance policy helps you navigate the complexities of coverage, including what treatments and medications are covered, out-of-pocket costs, potential procedure frequency limitations and any pre-authorization requirements. This knowledge allows you to make informed decisions about your care, avoid surprise expenses, and effectively communicate with your insurance provider.

Newport Coast Surgery Center is an in-network facility with most Worker’s Compensation networks, Medicare, Anthem Blue Cross PPO, Cigna PPO, Aetna PPO and Tricare. It is a good idea to contact your insurance company about the coverage available to you for the type of procedure your Physician has ordered for you. Our NCSC Scheduling and Authorizations team will work with your Rendering Provider’s office to obtain any prior authorizations required by your insurance company.

If you do not have health insurance or if your insurance provider is out-of-network with our facility, please contact our NCSC Scheduling and Authorizations team to discuss other options that may be available to you.
ANESTHESIA SERVICES

Anesthesia services may not be an approved covered service by your insurance provider. You may be required to sign an Insurance Waiver or Medicare ABN, if your Provider requires you to have Anesthesia on the day of your procedure.

Our NCSC Billing Team will always bill claims for anesthesia services provided by center first. If the Anesthesia claim is denied by your Insurance provider, you may receive a patient statement for the Anesthesia services provided.
PAYING YOUR BILL

If you receive a patient statement for rendered services at Newport Coast Surgery Center, these charges may reflect your out-of-pocket expenses, your unmet deductible and/or non-covered services by your Insurance Provider.

You may pay our bill through our online payment method here.
Please contact the Newport Coast Surgery Center Billing team if you have any questions regarding your bill by calling (949) 644-5800, option 5.
